It uses the SVGO browser optimization engine to optimize valid SVG markup and creates a real optimized SVG result.

Are the savings percentages real?

Yes. The percentage is calculated from the actual byte sizes of the source SVG and the final generated SVG. No artificial savings number is generated.

What if my SVG is already optimized?

The tool can show little or no reduction. That is a valid result and is not replaced with a fake percentage.

Can I optimize multiple SVG files?

Yes. You can select up to 20 SVG files and process them in one batch.

Why are scripts removed?

SVG JavaScript can create security risks when an SVG comes from an untrusted source. The Remove scripts option is enabled by default and uses SVGO's removeScripts plugin.

Can optimization make an SVG larger?

It can happen with already-optimized or unusual files. This tool does not present a larger generated file as a successful size reduction. It keeps the original as the downloadable final result in that situation.
